Raphaël Doan

Raphaël Doan is a French essayist and senior civil servant. He is the author of several works bringing Antiquity into dialogue with the present day. In January 2023, alongside Arthur Chevallier and Baptiste Roger-Lacan, he founded Vestigia, a laboratory that explores the possibilities offered by new technologies, notably artificial intelligence, to renew the discovery of history. In May 2023, he published Si Rome n'avait pas chuté, a work of counterfactual history presented as “the first history book written and illustrated with artificial intelligence”.
