The Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine occupies a unique place in the French architectural landscape: serving as a venue for exhibitions, conservation, education and debate, it aims to make architecture accessible to as many people as possible. At a time when the discipline is undergoing profound changes, the institution reaffirms its role as a space open to a diversity of practices, as well as a forum for reflection on the crises that are redefining the ways in which we build. In this interview, its president, Julien Bargeton, discusses these missions and the challenges they present.
