Trained in law, art history and architecture, Eric Stephany developed a work of photography and sculpture, following the traces of the German romantic concept of Einfühlung (empathy), which seeks to underline the way we project our emotions on architecture. Through archetypal gestures, his sculptures, collages, photographs and films seek a series of emotions or ambivalent states in architecture or design, such as the astonishment, the anticipation, the stupor or the languor which succession can be seen as a possible definition of art.
